Just finished reading a book, one phrase that catches my attention,
"Too Obsessive in achieving successful results and fear of failure."
The opposite of this phrase is Confidence.
For example, in a game of football or soccer, if a player is too obsessive in winning, he will blame anyone who he thinks lacks in performance. If the opposite team scores, he would shout and gets angry, and order his team mates around to "play properly" and to stop fooling around.
If the player is in the other hand has a fear of loosing, h would lose hope fast. If the opposite team scores, he would be very worried, in his mind would says " Oh no! We will lose this game!" or "Looks like we're going to lose!" or "By the rate this goes, we're going home disappointed."
But what if a player has confidence in him, if the opposite team scores, in his mind would say "That a score from the opposite team, let score too." or when his own team scores, he wouldn't have the think of "Yes! We're winning! That wouldn't have the slightest chance as we're a good team!" but instead he would say in his mind "We have scored once, let's keep up the good work." Notice that he didn't think of Winning but instead, he maintain his performance through out the game, and when if the team does lost in the Match, he would say, "it's a great game! Enjoyed playing with them."
Confidence is very important in our lives, but some of us, know that it is important, but some doesn't even notice it when he/she doesn't have one.

User Default
have you ever wonder?
Most of use Automated Cash Machines ( such as POSB, DBS, OCBC, MasterCard, American Express .. etc ) to withdraw money. Have you ever thought that the main thing that we use that machine is, Insert card, PIN Number, Cash Amount, Money withdrawed, and take Receipt. That is the main purpose of a User. As long as we want the money, we get it and the amount withdrawed and balance is right we are happy. We do not care who's behind that machine, is it a Lady or a Guy? Yong or Old? Big or small, all that actualy does'nt matter...right?
That's the same goes people who make use or other people, they know what they want, they know who to look for, after they got what they wanted, they leave you. Just like the machine, the people does'nt care who's behind it.

Survival
A new born human baby learns how to walk within months, but a new born four legged animal for example a deer learn how to walk within hours. Why is that so? It's for their own survival. Learn how to walk before your enemy chase after you.
The same goes for in your work area. if you're a new worker, or just entered the company. It's wise and a recommended move to learn how to "walk" as soon as possible. o one is going to be by your side to assist or help you or to make sure you are able to "walk" on your own. The only person that you ever need is yourself.
The work force or the company is just like the jungle. Although your friend may not "eat" you, but they can make others "eat" you. It's important to know who's the predator, who's the prey and who's the plant, which is the passive person. But most likely the prey would go for the plant as the plant does not eat you up, but, be aware that eatting the wrong plant may cause you undesirable consicuences. Which may lead you to becoming a easier prey for the predator to feed you.

Dream Blog: 01
It's 2:47am on my desktop clock. And it's been long since I stop staying up at night, but tonight I think I'm gone be awake at night and sleep during the day, just like what I did in the past few months.
Strange dream, or some sort. How do you feel when a friend of yours has a pointed object, which in your own view may cause harm, is being poke at you, the feeling is like
"Stop it, don't!"
"Please don't"
Like your friend continue poking that pointed object at you, scared of accident's poking your eye or hurting you. Well that how I felt just now after I woke up from a strange dream.
Dream are like over flowing flow of water out of a empty bucket. What you can't comprehend or can't process while you're awake, you tend to do it during your sleep, hence that's what dream are all about. Some may dream about a certain incident, but in end that incident happened awake, and reproduced somehow differently while asleep to suit the story that your brain produces.
Example:
Awake -
Go to school, chase by dog, came to school late, scolding from teacher, long hours of school, went home wet cause of rain, get scolding from mother cause of wet clothes, fell asleep due to tiredness.
Dream -
Mother scolding, at school, students friends laughing, run way from mother, go out of school, get chase from teacher, and suddenly awake.
So you see, in the dream it does has some similarity of what happened during awake hours. It's how the dream jumble it up so that it would make a storyline. In a dream, it is hard to remember the correct incident of what happen , it's what "pop" out of our idea that makes it a weird storyline.
Here what I like to share with you, I read this somewhere, it says, for example you dream of someone nurse washing her hand on a basin, her back is facing you, you slowly approach her....If you are scared...The nurse turns around, her hand are full of blood, her face starts to melt and bones starts to show.....
......What if you're not scared and didn't let your imagination run wild.
....The nurse turns around, and in her hand is the most cutest kitten you ever seen, she is giving that poor kitten a bath.
So we can control our dreams, if we control our emotions and our imagination.

Leading the way
In a team, each individual team members has it's own job scope to do. Each team has a leader. Mistakes happens when the leader rely on each of the team member to do their designated job scope.
A good leader who thinks ahead of how to resolve a difficult situation and work along with the team members on his opinions. A leader doesn't mean that everyone has to follow all of his/her commands and instructions, but to suggest a command and observe and evaluate whether his/her instructions are made clear or acceptable.
A Leader takes good care of each of his/her team members. Which team member will follow a leader who doesn't take care and concern on them?
A leader job is a difficult one, but it's doesn't have to be all on him/her, the burden can be shared equally and hence each team member will understand and help along with the leader.

Handphones
What do you look out for when you decided that you're buying a new handphone for yourself. Ofcourse you would look out for a specific handphone that is the lastest model in the market and has the best features.
the truth is that there is no "perfect" phone in the market that suits our needs, it's how you make out of that phone to suit our needs. In short, it will never satisfy us unless we are satisfied of what we got.
Just like having someone in your life as in a relationship between both sex. If you expect the opposite sex to suit you, it will never work out. But in end you have to suit in, blend, and adapt to his/her own personal behavior that makes you a better person in a relationship.
Each person has it's own flaws, just like the handphone. Some handphone has FM Radio and lack in Mp3 Player, while another phone has both FM Radio and Mp3 player but it lacks in unique outer design. Like a person, if you go for the looks, maybe he/she may have a attitude problem, or, if you go for the sweet tender loving person, but he/she has some physical features that is not in your own favor.
The best is go for the "inside content". It's better finding someone who loves you, than loving someone who doesn't loves you.

Brain
I love to ponder. And so happen while at work i was reading the newspaper and there was an article on a book titled Soduku, i tried one of their problems, by the way soduku is a kind of puzzle where there's total of 54 boxes, and the rule is you have to fill it up with number 1 to 9 only once on each vertical boxes and horizontal boxes. When i read the rules it got my brain excited. So i decided to buy the book. The book consist of 201 puzzles with 5 diffrent difficulty levels.
One thing good about this Soduku Puzzle is that other than solving the puzzle it self, you will discover many ways to solve it, some of the method even i would'nt think of it.
The brain is just like any other muscle that is on your body, the more you train it, the better it gets.
Just like if you train your right arm only, your left arm would be weaker tan your right. So any one can be a Human Calculator, Anyone can be a Master in memorising things. All you have to do is train your mental abilities. It's the only way to get it done. Work it.

The path that leads to your destiny.
Questions
Does everything that you do each day has it's purpose or just part of your plan that has to be carried out?
Is it just mere coincidence that things happened in the present is related to the past?
Do you really have a choice to change your future?
The Story
For example, a girl of age 19 years old, who wanted be a musician. She got this inspiration from her father who loves to play the piano during his free time. She has special interest in the violin, but unfortunately she can't afford to buy one, so she decided to find a part time work. The days are tough and no job vacancies, she looked everywhere for a job. 3 Weeks of searching ends as a friend of hers named jack, who worked in a restaurant has a job vacancy.
Months has pass, and she really enjoyed working with her friend jack. She is so grateful to have such a friend who has help her get a job, as with a few months pay, she is able to buy her dream violin. Her relationship with Jack grows, and they started dating each other during their off days.
One the 3rd pay, she has sufficient money to buy her violin. She was so happy and decided to bring along Jack. The minute she told him that she wanted to buy a violin, Jack smiled widely. She discovered that Jack too has a violin at his home, and often plays at a concert performing for various musical functions. She too delighted to have someone sharing the same interest as hers.
Thoughts
then came the my own thoughts...
what if she didn't plan to buy the violin, will she meet jack?
What if she manage to get a Job without Jack, will she be in a relationship?
What if her interest was not actually the violin, and it is the piano?
Is it her destiny to meet a person who has the same interest hers?
Or is it just pure coincidence?
These story shows the path that leads to each and everyone's destiny, we are able to choose. Either way we will reach the end, it's the journey that makes the difference, and that journey makes us think more before deciding which option is better.
Like in the story, it started with her own heart, her intention of becoming a musician. She chooses the violin, if she chooses the piano and follows her dad's passion, it will lead to a different journey but in end she will meet jack. ( the story continues below ). With intention and decision, she carried out her Plan, inoder to succeed she must earn some money by finding a job, through her job she found jack.
Let see what if, she chooses the piano.
The Alternate Story
For example, a girl of age 19 years old, who wanted be a musician. She got this inspiration from her father who loves to play the piano during his free time. She has special interest in the violin. Looking at her father who plays the piano well, she decided to join her father a let her father teach her how to play the piano.
Months passes by, and her skill for the piano is improving very well. Her father is very impress with her. Not long after that her father decided to make her join a musical band, performing for some functions. She was so glad, that her father go all the way to make her piano skill recognized.
During the musical function, various musician played their instruments, and so did she. Everyone applause and cheered. Then while she was back in the audience seat to watch the rest of the musicians play, she saw Jack, her long lost friend. Jack on stage gave her a smile while playing his violin.
after the whole event, they meet up and talked about how impressive both of them played their instruments. They exchanged numbers, and went on a date the next day, and began their relationship.
Thoughts
As you can see, they are fated to meet each other, but on which decision that they made, that makes their journey a whole different story.

Wheel of Life
Ever heard of the saying "Wheel of Life" or fate or destiny?
It's like whatever you do, it will come back to you. Or something like for today it's your day and another day will some other people's day.
Come to think of it, it's like retribution and reward. If you do something to others, and it hurts their feelings, one day others will do a similar thing that will hurt your feelings.
But sometimes, we do things without thinking twice, often acted out through instinct or through our own emotions.
But when the so called wheel rotates and it's our own time to feel how they feel, by then we would think back, these things happen similarly to how we treated the other person in the past.
We can never run away from it as it will happen and we have to handle it.
Unless, for example, if you wouldn't mind people disturbing you, then by all means disturb others, as they will disturb you back. But not in a case where you really like to disturb others but doesn't want others to disturb you.

For today
No one will read your Blog unless, they have an interest in your life, knows you well and wants to find out more of what you do, has a common interest, and last of all, knows that you got a Blog.
Time now is 3:08pm. Soon it will be 3:30pm then 7:00pm get ready for work, then 8:00pm starts work, then 1:00am do some desk manning at work, then 7:00am get ready to go home, then 10:00am reaches home have breakfast and ready to sleep, then 7:00pm wakes up for my 2nd night shift and getting ready, then 8:00pm starts work, then 1:00am do some desk manning at work, then 7:00am getting ready to go home, then 10:00pm reaches home and end of night duty.
Our life sometimes can be predictable, but those little things that happen in between that spice up our life.
The predictable ones are your daily routine, but how about years after years?
Like going to school, 6 years in primary school, 4 years in secondary school, those are the long years and memorable years that carries you right to this very day.
Remember, the past can be both painful and sweet at the same time. Those are the important ingredient for the future.

Meaningful Thoughts
Something that you enjoy doing doesn't mean you're good at it.
Something that you're good at it doesn't mean you're enjoying it.
For me, I like thinking games, like chess and puzzle games, but I come think of it, I actually not an expert in that area. I wouldn't see myself winning it or becoming skillful, in fact I enjoy playing it.
Another case is that I'm good at action games like first person shooting games, and action fighting games. And I can say for myself, I'm quite skill in that area and actually won various games that I've played. But I tend to play less of those games.
So is it true that if you tend to Enjoy something doesn't mean you have to be good at it? And Being good at it have that lack of enjoyment?
So how about work and carrier?
Finding a work that I Enjoy it? Or Skill in doing it?
Well I would choose Skill, with skill you can overtake others, but with just pure enjoyment for your own entertainment, would get you anywhere as there's others who is in the scope of your so call enjoyment is actually skillful than you.
Example, if I enjoy playing chess, there's others who is skillful then me, so in the end I'm losing in my own dream game.
But if I'm skill in playing action games, I would have the possibilities of outbeat the rest and became a champion.
So it's either the mind set of others and your own interest.

Late Night TV Series
Just finished watching a TV series show title, Tru Calling starrring Eliza Dushku. A good show, about this girl who has a gift of premonitions.
She studies medical and worked as a assistant at a town morgue. Usually she would dream of things before it actually happen. The dream would began as a sequence of events and lead to a dead person in the morgue, which the dead person who suddenly call her and say "Help me.." And her dream would fade and she woke up, it's her so called job to help that dead person from dying. Following back to how the person dies would in end save that person life. But there's always obstacles in her path from succeeding her mission.
It's kinda cool in away that in the show she could dream of something before it happened.
For my case, I think it's my job environment that makes me always dreaming about ambulance cases or something that related to ambulance job. My Dream would be like, going to a case, seeing someone about to jump down, and in my dream that person did jumped and miss the air bag.
Maybe I should pay attention to my dream, maybe I too can find a clue or a hint to what going to happen in reality.

LOL!
Oh i'm sooo back dated!
I started reading the newspaper and discovered that this Blog thingy is actually made some people famous, winning some Blog awards or something.
When i started writing a Blog, i just thought it's just like a "dairy" or a "journal" where you write and having the knowledge that someone out there is reading it.
Hmmm i actually did'nt actually read other's people Blogs, except those who i knew.
I find that it will be more meaningfull if someone open a topic and start discussing. Well maybe that's my nature, just love to discuss and say what you really think of the topic. I've join this online website that allows me to do so. SO! of anyone reads this do join

A Day in a Life
The time is 5.12am, just finished reading the newspaper and read about an article about Blog, well I agree that Blogging does help to relieve stress, help a person to let out his thoughts into writing it down hence might be able to solve his/her own problems. I wanted to blog every incident that I've encounter. As they say if you can't use the computer to access the internet to blog, you can always think of other way to do it, like, emailing it via handphone :)
Currently work,so far only 2 ambulance cases for the night. Right now resting in my own domitory waiting for 8am to come. The skies are red, hopefully it doesn't rain. Lying down still smell of blood from the previous case. I had lost count
since when I didn't sleep at night. My friend said it not human not to sleep at night as we are a day creature,I explain that I did get my 8hr of sleep, its just that those 8hrs are during the day.Maybe there's a reason why I started not sleeping at night, maybe I started to enjoy the nightly enviroment, being alone.

The Trap
What would you do if you know that you're walking right into a trap? Would you, avoid the trap? Or just walk into it and be prepared to deal with the trap?
Come to think of it, life is just like the trap. Sometimes you know what going to happen in life, but somehow some ways that you just walked into it and deal with what's the consequences. Like a bad example if shoplifting, the person knows what will happen if he shoplift, he'll get caught. ( Same as the trap, he/she know that by walking that way he/she will fall into the trap ). The person thinks that what if he didn't get caught? He would be carrying away a valuable item. Soon after that he did shoplift, and just as he expected, he got caught red handed.
Although the person know that shoplift = getting caught. He still do it. Just like how I said it, if you know that you're walking right into a trap? Would you, avoid the trap? Or just walk into it and be prepared to deal with the trap? He walked right into the trap that he knows it's there, but he just did it and not prepared of the outcome. That's a fool who didn't think.
With that analyst, it makes me think that every moment you have to think and analyze the items surround you, knowing which is a trap, is there any conpiracy going on around you, anyone talking behind you. Although some of these things you can know what's been going on, but in the end, it will be like walking into the trap.

Handling it
One of the days when you feel lonly and seems that everyone is against you. Nothng that you do please them, all they see it that you did'nt do to what they want. They speak in harsh words, all making fun of you. Well that's what happening to me. I feel like bursting out, speak out and tell them how i feel like,
"Hey you, don't you think scolding me would make me better?"
or
"Are you trying to say that scolding me due to a fault of mine? or is it just because i did'nt do the way you wanted?"
Well some action i agree that it should be commented, but you can always say it nicely, what's wrong with saying it nicely? or Saying it more like a friend say like.. "hello friend, ..." "i think it should be done this way..." With those words it makes the littleless mistakes in your normal job life more easier to handle.
Now comes the Handling of the situation. How i cope with it? Sometimes words that are harsh to me, it does hurt my heart and my feelings. And sometimes i do feel that it really unfair that the one who's scolds someone is the one who actualy did'nt do a thing! They just sit there and watch, sees anything wrong and point out, WTF! If you think you're that good and you can do all the things right, you might as well do it. If you're soooo lazy and does'nt care of doing it, atleast just Shut Up!
Back to the topic of handling it. How i handle it? by treating yourself, do something that make yourself at ease. Like sit alone under the void deck eatting ice cream, have a few nice drinks alone at night, and last of all, lettng it out on a blog.

Chemical Reactions
Have you ever felt that feeling, when you've with someone, that feeling of connection.
Just like back in the old school days when there's a girl that sits right beside you next to your table. But strangely, there are some girls that are on that same class, you just treated her like a sister or like a old pal.
Why is it with some people of the same sex, you can get along with, and some people with the same sex you don't. Likewise, you will get along with some of the people of the opposite sex, but not other some other opposite sex. Is it something to do with what they call it "Chemistry" ?
It's the face that we see 1st that immediately connects us to that person. I know the answer, try finding out for yourself. Different people have different features, and similar features will get us connected with on another.

Planning
Everyday, people plan in order to et what they want. Things don't just fall together and form up to be just a coincidence, it actually all planned up. It's that shitty feeling that I feel when I found out something in life it's actually planned up, what worst is that I knew the plan, and I just let it happened. If I can, I can back fire their plan but, what the heck, I'm the type that go with the flow, you know, the type that don't mess with fate, if it's fated, then it shall be for a reason.
Example, like there's a guy name jack who is very good in his subject in school. There are some jealous student, with him in his class. Jack would score 98/100 or even 100/100 in all subjects, but these 3 jealous people only score 89/100 average. They have a nice plan, that if, Jack would be out of their way, the 3 of them would be so called top in the class without anyone beating the score.
So the 3 guys carried out their plan, during exam, they all accuse Jack of cheating. Bad enough the teacher wrote Jack's name down and ask him to meet at the principle office.
3 days later, the teacher called up the 3 guys which accused Jack of cheating. In the office, there stood Jack along with the Principle, in the end, the Principle gave the 3 guys a stern warning due to trying to fake Jack's cheating.
As you see, Jack knew the 3 guys are jealous, jack knew they going to do something to him, jack played along, and in the end back fire to the 3 guys that tried to topple Jack.

Insomnia

What is Insomnia?
Insomnia is difficulty in initiating and/or maintaining sleep. It is a term that is used often to indicate any and all stages and types of sleep loss. Insomnia is not a disorder, it is a symptom.
There are different kinds of insomnia:
Sleep Onset Insomnia (Delayed Sleep Phase Syndrome): A disorder in which the major sleep episode is delayed in relation to the desired clock time that results in symptoms of sleep onset insomnia or difficulty in awakening at the desired time.
Idiopathic Insomnia: A lifelong inability to obtain adequate sleep that is presumably due to an abnormality of the neurological control of the sleep-wake system. The insomnia is long-standing, commonly beginning in early childhood, sometimes since birth.
Psychophysiological Insomnia: A disorder of somatized tension (conversion of anxiety into physical symptoms) and learned sleep-preventing association that results in a complaint of insomnia and associated decreased functioning during wakefulness.
Childhood Insomnia (Limit-Setting Sleep Disorder): Primarily a childhood disorder that is characterized by the inadequate enforcement of bedtimes by a caretaker with resultant stalling or refusal to go to bed at the appropriate time.
Another kind of insomnia that generally affects children is called Sleep-Onset Association Disorder. This disorder occurs when sleep onset is impaired by the absence of a certain object or set of circumstances, such as being held, rocked or nursed; television watching, radio listening, etc. ( Could be true for the Peanuts cartoon character Linus and his blanket?)
Food Allergy Insomnia: A disorder of initiating and maintaining sleep due to an allergic response to food allergens. It is typically associated with the introduction of a new food or drink, i.e., cow's milk.
Enviornmental Insomnia (Enviornmental Sleep Disorder): A sleep disturbance due to a disturbing enviornmental factor that causes a complaint of either insomnia or excessive sleepiness. (How about the garbage man or the leaf blower early in the morning!?)
Transient Insomnia (Adjustment Sleep Disorder): Represents sleep disturbance temporally related to acute stress, conflict or enviornmental change causing emotional agitation.
Periodic Insomnia (Non 24-Hour Sleep-Wake Syndrome): Consists of a chronic (lasting a long time) steady pattern consisting of 1-2 hour daily delays in sleep onset and wake times in an individual living in society.
Altitude Insomnia: An acute (short and sharp course, not chronic) insomnia usually accompanied by headaches, loss of appetite, and fatigue, that occurs following ascent to high altitudes. (Unless you are a mountain climber or a mountain goat, this kind of insomnia won't apply)
Hypnotic-Dependency Insomnia (Hypnotic-Dependent Sleep Disorder): Characterized by insomnia or excessive sleepiness that is associated with tolerance to or withdrawal from hypnotic medications.
Stimulant-Dependent Sleep Disorder: Charcterized by a reduction of sleepiness or suppression of sleep by central stimulants, and resultant alterations in wakefulness following drug abstinence.
Alcohol-Dependent Insomnia (Alcohol-Dependent Sleep Disorder): Characterized by the assisted initiation of sleep onset by the sustained ingestion of alcohol that is used for its hypnotic effect.
Toxin-Induced Sleep Disorder: Characterized by either insomnia or excessive sleepiness produced by poisoning with heavy metals or organic toxins.
How is insomnia treated?
Each case of insomnia is tailored for that particular person's needs. Methods used for treatment include behavioral modification, following good sleep hygiene practices, light therapy, and occasionally medication is prescribed for a short period of time.
